REGISTRATION DATES

• Registration appointments for the 2025-2026 school year for new students will be held between March 10, 2025 and June 6, 2025.

NEW STUDENTS

Registration occurs in a four-step process completed by the parent or legal guardian of the child: 

1. Verify your residency in South Pasadena and collect your three proofs of residence. 
2. Register online via the Aeries Internet Registration system (AIR). Please visit the https://southpasadenausd.aeries.net/enrollment/ to complete the online registration process, and print out two copies of your completed AIR registration.
3. After you complete the online registration, and you have all the required documents, email [email protected] to schedule an appointment for registration. To double-check that you have all the correct materials, please print and read the documents listed under Forms/Files found in the right-side navigation menu:  Enrollment Registration Checklist.
4. Attend a registration appointment at South Pasadena Middle School, 1500 Fair Oaks Avenue, South Pasadena, CA 91030. Please bring to your appointment the following original documents:
   • Copy of your AIR registration
   • Birth certificate or passport of student
   • Student immunization records
   • Unofficial transcript (if out of country, a translated English version)
   • CAASPP scores (if available)
   • Special Circumstances (English as a Second Language, special education, health concerns)
   • Three required proofs of residency. See acceptable proofs of residency in the column at the right. 

If your student is a current 5th grader at a South Pasadena elementary school, they will automatically be enrolled at South Pasadena Middle School for 6th grade for the following school year.

NOTES:

PREVIOUSLY WITHDRAWN STUDENTS FROM SPUSD

If you are a South Pasadena resident, and your child previously attended a SPUSD school, you do not need to complete the online registration. Email [email protected] to schedule an appointment and indicate the student's name, date of birth, last school, grade and year he/she attended in SPUSD. 

Please bring the following to the registration appointment in addition to the items listed in Step 4 above:

• Unofficial transcript. 
• Most recent report card
• Most recent CAASPP state test scores from the previous school
• Withdrawal grades are required if transferring during the school year

If entering from another country, an official transcript with a notarized English translation is required. If there are special circumstances (English as a Second Language, Special Education, or health problems) please provide appropriate documentation, such as ELPAC test scores or current IEP or 504 plan.

Residency Verification Documents - one document from EACH category, and all documents must be originals, no copies accepted.

Category A

• Deed of Trust
• Mortgage Payment Receipt – dated within the past month
• Rental/Lease Agreement, listing all names of occupants (including children), and the name, address, telephone number and signature of landlord/management company.
• Property Tax Bill – dated within the past year
• Closing Escrow Papers

Category B

NOTE:  All bills must be both parts, top & bottom, in English, with all pages present, i.e, if a six page gas bill,  please present entire bill. Online bill pay allows for downloadable pdfs of entire gas and electric bills.

• Utility Bill (Example: Southern California Edison, The Gas Company, Athens Services, Water Bill) – dated within the past month
• Cable/Internet Provider Bill (Example: Spectrum, Direct TV, DISH)  – dated within the past month

Category C

NOTE:  All bills must be both parts, top & bottom, in English, with all pages present, i.e, if a six page gas bill,  please present entire bill. Online bill pay allows for downloadable pdfs of entire gas and electric bills.

• An additional Utility Bill [different than what is provided in CATEGORY B]   (Example: Southern California Edison, The Gas Company, Internet or cable provider, Athens Services, Water bill)   – dated within the past month
