SPHS Student Earns Honorable Mention in 2026 Congressional Art Competition

Congratulations to SPHS junior David Kim, who earned Honorable Mention in the 2026 Congressional Art Competition. Congresswoman Judy Chu announced the winners during an awards ceremony held at the Hilton Arcadia on May 9, 2026. SPHS students exhibited more than 50 works of art and photography out of 210 total at the competition.

Each spring, the Congressional Institute sponsors a nationwide high school visual art competition to recognize and encourage artistic talent in each congressional district. Students submit entries to their representative’s office, and panels of congressional district artists select the winning entries.

Kudos to David Kim on his award, to all the students selected to exhibit their work, and to their teachers, Aimee Levie-Hultman (SPHS Art) and Rouzanna Berberian (SPHS Photography).

Go, Tigers!
