Project PEACE: Lunar New Year is Coming!
MHS will celebrate Lunar New Year (LNY) from Wednesday, February 18 through Friday, February 20, with a special focus on Tết, the Vietnamese New Year. Click HERE for a special LNY email with all the details!
On February 18, our 1st-5th graders will be offered LNY food tastings that include vegetarian egg rolls, fortune cookies, orange slices, dried coconut (Mut Dua), and pork loaf (Cha Lua). If your child has allergies or food sensitivities, please inform them not to participate, and inform their teacher, as well.
MHS will also participate in Marengo’s annual LNY Festival on Sunday, February 22. We will need parent volunteers to support/operate our booth.
We look forward to sharing this meaningful cultural celebration with our school community! Volunteers will be needed for our Project PEACE activities during the week and our booth at the LNY festival
