probably some of the best years of my career and then thank you for inspiring me to me and a good friend so thank you for everything that you gave to me my room on a Saturday and my first impression was what if I got a question we often. We all had asked if it was a bear Bungalow because they were under construction but then as soon as I met the students and the families and my colleagues my side a huge sigh of relief and I knew that I was in the right place everybody would say welcoming the students were wonderful the parents were wonderful it's the community that we don't know in love here in South Pasadena I know I'll see you again cast of me a lot I've been by our first graders second graders who are worried that they might not see me and I remind them that they will see me of course walking my dog around the neighborhood at Trader Joe's at civilians and maybe some work did the district and diversity equity and inclusion my favorite part of being the principal are those interactions right this is the relationships that we've built with all of our community members the people that we have worked with for sure the parents the children and whenever it's a tough day I walk outside and go out on the playground if I'm lucky enough I get rated Groupon or at show me want to show me of the work that they're doing so I think it's it's a people as a people for sure I really think my favorite part is going into the classroom seeing the students working hard engaging with their classmates and teachers teaching meaningful lessons really really getting into what students love to learn and then he was just being a part of this community walking around playground I love that because that's when you get those spontaneous stories and conversations with kids and so you know just having those honest and open conversations with kids in an entertaining and meaningful memorable for sure what do you want to be remembered for that's a big question but I'll be remembered for my championing of the students the children we took on these roles of Scott your teachers many a year ago to make a difference in the lives we were optimistic I remain optimistic that the work that you've done and we've driven you had a in poor would include children who could see me after this been allies and would go out and make a difference in the world becomes our Legacy so course it is about some of Hope only the sense people had around me that they knew I would be a listening ear that I would show compassion that I would work to try and pop problems all but generally in the big picture has always been making a difference children to go out and do something big what about you what do you hope to be remembered for as a teacher and as a as a principal is really remembering do all my work around the whole time I'm looking at your social emotional learning as well as their academic learning and understanding that the students learn and many many different ways it's not always the traditional way but finding those things that about students how about teachers that really a salad and and focusing on that to help them further their lives and their education but really the whole child I just want to be remembered for focusing on the whole child on a lighter note so you have been both at Marengo and so come on or lion you always ask the tough questions you say a lion cat that I think you can't compare they are big they are exciting for the children to see they have made their way onto a tempest and become have become part of the way that we look at the the roadrunners have a ton of tradition of course they are strong and fast they they are adaptable congratulations to you that's right
