Superintendent's Message
Welcome to South Pasadena Unified School District! We are committed to provide each student with a comprehensive educational experience in preparation for current academic challenges and future educational and occupational endeavors. South Pasadena Unified School District provides a safe and nurturing environment where all students are presented with enriching opportunities to learn the essential knowledge and requisite skills necessary to compete with "the best," access their dreams and realize their aspirations. Through a belief in high expectations in a culture of respect, our team of highly qualified teachers, administrators, support staff and caring School Board members continually look for ways to improve our programs and services, the process, how we do things, and the quality of the product in our work in education.
We encourage parents and the community to take an active role as partners with the schools to ensure that our children have every opportunity to become lifelong learners, responsible members of our learning community, and skilled in integrating a variety of technological tools in their learning. Please contact your child's school principal to learn about the many opportunities available within the schools to become an active partner through PTA, School Site Council, South Pasadena Educational Foundation, and other school and districtwide opportunities. Together we can create rich learning environments for children enhanced by developing children's passion for learning through integrating new technologies to promote inquiry, research and a thirst for new information.
