Interdistrict Permits
We are no longer accepting interdistrict permits for the 2011-2012 school year, as of September 19, 2011. Our school year began on August 25, 2011.
We will not be accepting new interdistrict permits for the 2012-2013 school year, due to our current enrollment numbers. (updated November 17, 2011)
1) If you are attending SPUSD on an interdistrict permit for the 2011-2012 school year, and will be transitioning from 5th to 6th grade, or from 8th to 9th grade, you will need to get a new release from your home school district to attend SPUSD for the 2012-2013 school year. These are the only permit students who need to get a new release, per AB 2444.
2) For students attending SPUSD on current interdistrict permits only: beginning Monday, May 7, 2012, bring your signed release to the SPUSD Office of Instruction, Room 4, You will be asked to complete our Interdistrict Permit application, for the 2012-2013 school year.
3) For LAUSD residents currently on permit at SPUSD who are transitioning from 5th to 6th grade, or from 8th to 9th grade, please click on the following link to access the LAUSD website where you can request a release for continued enrollment for your LAUSD student: (please note that their usual window for applying for a release is March 1 - April 30 only) 4) If you are a South Pasadena resident, and would like your student to attend another public school outside of South Pasadena for the 2012-2013 school year, you will need to complete an Interdistrict Release Application, beginning Monday, May 7, 2012, at the Office of Instruction, Room 4.
