New Students to the District » High School Registration Information and Forms
New students to the District in 9th, 10th, 11th or 12th grade who have not already pre-registered at the High School for the 2011-2012 school year need to contact the Registrar, Ms. Rebecca Quinones to make an appointment for their pre-registration. The preferred method of contact is by email: rquinones@fc.spusd.net. This pre-registration service will be available from April 27th, 2011 on through July 27, 2011, by appointment only. From July 28 to August 9, the High School office will be closed in preparation for High School Registration, which will take place on Thursday, August 18th for Seniors & Juniors, and on Friday, August 19th for Sophomores and Freshman.   Registration packet pick up will be available from Tuesday, August 10, 2011 to Wednesday, August 17, 2011. Registration packets must be picked up by the parent or legal guardian of the student, and parents/guardians are expected to provide photo identification at the time of packet pick up.

This year, the district will not be requiring proof of residency at registration for currently enrolled students. You will be expected to verify your current address, phone numbers and email address as printed out from the school's database, and turn in a completed District Acknowledgement Form.  You only need to bring in three current proofs of residence if you have recently moved to a South Pasadena address which is different from the address of record in the school's database.  School begins on Thursday, August 25, 2011. 
 
You may not register for school until you reside in South Pasadena and have your appropriate three proofs of residence, and registration must be done by the parent or legal guardian of the child. Guardianships and Dual Family Residencies must be approved in advance by the Personnel Office at the District Office. Students who are currently enrolled in SPUSD do not need to re-register with Ms. Quinones, but they must pick up their registration packet and attend High School Registration on the corresponding day, either August 18th or August 19th, 2011.
 
Residency Verification Documents for New Registrations, or verification of a new address within South Pasadena:

Mortgage Payment Receipt – dated within the past month
Rental/Lease Agreement, listing all names of occupants (including children), and the name, address, telephone number and signature of landlord/management company.
Property Tax Bill – dated within the past year
Closing Escrow Papers

Utility Bill (Example: Southern California Edison, The Gas Company, Water Bill) – dated within the past month
Time Warner Cable Bill – dated within the past month
Telephone/Cell Phone Bill – dated within the past month
 
Category C
Current Car Registration – dated within the past year
Car Insurance Statement – dated within the past 6 months to 1 year
Health Insurance Statement – dated within the past month
Bank Statement (or signed letter on bank letterhead with the South Pasadena address) – dated within the past month
Pay Stub showing current South Pasadena address – dated within the past month
Current Federal or State Tax Forms – dated within the past year
